HOT TUB CLEANING SERVICES

We do this for many customers — especially Airbnb hosts and out-of-town owners — but here’s the reality:

A proper drain, clean, and refill takes time, and we bill it at our standard rate of $200/hour (2-hour minimum). The biggest time-sink? Babysitting the hose during refill, which can’t be rushed and must be supervised to avoid damage or air locks.

1. Drain the Spa – Using a sump pump to safely empty the tub.
    
2. Shop-Vac & Hand-Wipe – We vacuum the remaining water and debris, then wipe down the shell to prevent staining.
    
3. Sanitize & Pipe Flush – A specialized cleaner is circulated through the jets and lines to kill biofilm and eliminate gunk inside the plumbing.
    
4. Refill Supervision – Refilling takes 60–90 minutes or more, during which we must monitor progress, bleed the pumps mid-fill, and check sensors and heaters.
    
5. Restart & Water Balance – We purge air locks, prime pumps, and add the right startup chemicals to get your spa heating and running properly.
    

This entire process typically takes about 2 hours minimum, and it’s recommended every 4 months. Many local customers do it themselves to save money — but for Airbnb properties or remote owners, we’re a reliable set of hands.

• Hasn’t run in 6+ months?
  Fill the spa, mark the waterline with tape, and check for a drop overnight. A leak may indicate freeze damage — which must be addressed before cleaning.
   
• Really dirty with leaves or algae?
  Expect a 2-day job. We’ll flush the plumbing Day 1, then clean and refill Day 2. (≈ 4 total hours of work)
   
• Weekly Maintenance?
  Pool services are more affordable for weekly cleanings. We specialize in troubleshooting and repairs, but we’re happy to help at our normal rate.
