Note: I do not recommend using Bromine tablets. They are extremely
corrosive to the spa components if not used correctly, and hard to regulate.
1. Once a week I use 1⁄4 kitchen measuring cup of “sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione
dehydrate”.
*You can purchase at your local pool supply. It may be called Shock, or
Chlorine Granules. If you use your hot tub every day, you may increase this to
twice a week if needed.
If you have a hot tub party, with lots of people, add 1⁄2 cup afterwards.
Don’t buy anything at Walmart, Lowes, Home depot etc. Not the same chemical.
2. Once a month, add 1⁄2 cup of PH Increaser, or PH UP.
If your water is cloudy or smells like old mop water, don’t use hot tub!
Add 1⁄2 cup of the chlorine granules. Wait 12 hours and should be clear.
Rinse Filters Once a month with water hose
There are other chemicals you can use for freshness, fragrance, scale,
metals, but the above chemicals is the minimum. See your pool supply
for details if water testing.
You may want to pick up some test strips for free chlorine if you are a stickler.
